Dr. Seydi is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon specializing in diabetic limb salvage, foot and ankle reconstruction, and complex wound care. She completed her surgical residency at Ascension Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, where she trained across multiple hospitals and surgical centers and developed broad experience in treating ailments of the lower extremity with conservative care or surgery. Her surgical training includes complex reconstruction, trauma, sports medicine, peripheral nerve surgery, pediatric foot and ankle care, and lower extremity orthoplastics. She went on to complete advanced fellowship training in Detroit, Michigan, with a focus on diabetic limb salvage, lower extremity limb preservation and complex reconstruction, wound care, and multidisciplinary treatment of high-risk lower-extremity conditions.
Dr. Seydi’s approach to care is rooted in a simple goal: helping patients stay active, maintain their independence, and preserve their quality of life. She has a particular passion for caring for patients with complex diabetic foot disease, chronic wounds, limb-threatening conditions, and challenging deformities. Her training allows her to approach these problems from both a conservative approach or a reconstructive and limb-preservation perspective, using advanced surgical techniques when appropriate while always considering the patient’s overall health, goals, and long-term function.
She believes that excellent care is a team effort, with the patient at the center of every decision. Dr. Seydi takes the time to listen, understand what matters most to each patient, and develop a treatment plan together. Whether treating a common foot and ankle condition or a complex problem requiring reconstruction and limb salvage, she strives to make every patient feel informed, heard, and confident in their care.
Dr. Seydi brings compassion and a specialized skill set to the treatment of the foot and ankle, including complex forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, diabetic limb preservation, advanced wound management, peripheral nerve surgery, deformity correction, and orthoplastic reconstruction. Her experience caring for complex patients in multidisciplinary settings allows her to work closely with other medical and surgical specialists when a patient’s condition requires a comprehensive approach.
Beyond her surgical training, Dr. Seydi is passionate about education, lifelong learning, and continually advancing the care of patients with complex lower-extremity disease. She is committed to combining thoughtful clinical decision-making with modern surgical techniques to help each patient achieve the best possible functional outcome.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Seydi enjoys traveling and discovering new places, spending time with family and friends, being near the water, exploring new recipes and culinary experiences, and unwinding with good music or a great true-crime story. She looks forward to serving you—and, in between medical recommendations, swapping recommendations for your favorite spots around town!
