Dr. Ghannoum earned his Bachelor of Science from The University of Florida, and later his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University in Cleveland, Ohio. After receiving his medical education, he went on to complete his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency at Saint Vincent Hospital where he also trained at the UMass Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. This was followed by a rigorous ACFAS reconstructive and deformity correction surgical Fellowship in Roanoke, Virginia.
From an early age, Dr. Ghannoum knew he desired a career in healthcare. Growing up, he enjoyed activities that required problem-solving and working with his hands. Combining those skills with his desire to help others, becoming a medical provider proved to be a perfect fit. He discovered a passion for foot and ankle surgery after extensive professional shadowing during his years in higher education.
Through creativity and attention to detail, Dr. Ghannoum enjoys treating a variety of pathologies found in the foot and ankle. Through his treatment, he can improve mobility and reduce pain, thus restoring a patient’s quality of life. An advocate for his patients, Dr. Ghannoum encourages open dialogue with each patient to learn more about their goals and expectations. This allows him to utilize all of his resources and improve his ability to meet their healthcare needs, as best he can.
As a foot and ankle specialist, Dr. Ghannoum treats a variety of lower extremity conditions, including severe fractures, sports medicine injuries, chronic deformities, including Charcot, arthritis and tendonitis, ulcers, and ingrown nails. He offers the full spectrum of podiatric care to adults of all ages and treats minor skin and nail conditions for the podiatric population. Dr. Ghannoum takes a special medical interest in elective reconstruction of both congenital and acquired deformities, which often greatly improves his patients’ quality of life.
A strong supporter of education, Dr. Ghannoum has trained nationally and internationally, taught by both podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons. He has also been a part of multiple clinical wound trials and has several publications in a variety of medical journals.
When he isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Ghannoum prioritizes spending time with his family and loved ones. He also enjoys spending time outdoors and in nature, and strives to find balance through community, exercise, hobby, creativity and design.
